If you’re going to collapse after a workout, collapse into one of these yoga poses! This post shows you a series of the best supine (fancy word for “laying down”) yoga poses that let you relax, stretch, and recover after working out.
Best Yoga Poses After Workouts
Legs Up the Wall Pose
Lay on your back with your arms down by your sides & legs fully extended. Brace your back against the floor, and slowly start to lift your legs straight up to point at the ceiling. Then, slowly start to lower them down towards your face.
Bring both knees in towards your chest, clasp your hands around your legs, and round your back so your buttocks come slightly off the floor. Attempt to bring your forehead to your knees, and rock back and forth, massaging both your spine & your inner organs.
Two-Legged Spinal Twist
Lay with your back on the ground, and your knees bent. Let your knees fall to one side, and look in the opposite direction, with your arms extended to both sides.
Start in an upright (sitting) Bound Angle Pose (the “butterfly” stretch), then roll your spine back until your are lying down.
