The Goonies Movie Workout:
Being chased by fugitives, booby traps, goblets & riches, walking the plank, climbing out of a rapidly collapsing cave … All the best parts of The Goonies can now be found in your workout.
8 minute warm up: Jump rope alternating both feet, left foot only, and right foot only. Try to land in the same spot, and not “migrate” in any direction as you are jumping.
Trap work- Dumbell shrugs: With your arms by your side and a dumbbell in each hand, “shrug” your shoulders up and down. Do 3 sets of 12.
Goblet squats: Hold one dumbbell with both hands in front of your chest as you perform your squats. Your toes and knees should be slightly turned out for this type of squat. Do 4 sets of 10.
Planks: One minute center elbow plank, and 30 seconds plank on each side.
Plank twists: Starting from a full plank position, lift one foot off the ground, bring your toes in to connect with your supporting leg, and twist so that your raised leg crosses your torso. Plank twist on both your left and right side to complete one rep. Do 30 reps total
Stair climber: 10 minutes of climbing stairs to complete The Goonies workout!
