The V-Up is the explosive extension of the sit-up, requiring skill and coordination in addition to core strength. Not only is this movement a great ab workout, it is also a fundamental movement required to develop skill in training transitions for many other movements.
How To Do a V-Up:
Proper V-Up Form:
- Lie on ground and start in hollow body position
- With legs straight and together, bring them up and towards your torso
- While raising your legs, reach for the toes with your hands
- Finish in a pike position with your hands and feet meeting at hip level, then return to hollow body position
