Back aches, pains, cricks, and cramps are a common complaint for many people. Rather than buy an expensive massage, try out these four easy yoga poses to relieve back tension.
Yoga Poses to Relieve Back Tension:
Kneel and fold forward on the ground, letting your forehead rest against the floor as you try to completely relax all the muscles in your body. Your big toes should be touching, with your knees spread slightly apart.
Stand with your feet slightly apart, knees bent, and fold your torso over your legs so that your stomach is resting against your thighs. Let your head hang, then fold your arms so that your fists are in the bend of your elbows, and breathe deeply.
Stand about 3 feet away from a wall, with your feet slightly apart, and lean forward until you can place the palms of your hands flat against the wall. Actively engage your core muscles as you lengthen your spine, trying not to let your back round or curve as you hold this position.
Place your feet hip-width apart, and your hands shoulder-width apart for this pose. Lengthen your spine and pull your shoulders down towards your armpits, pressing back on your hands so that you get a nice stretch throughout your back and legs.
