The Beginner Strength plan is guaranteed get you strong regardless of your age, genetics or body type. A no-nonsense strength program, it is simple, efficient, and will leave you feeling empowered.
About Beginner Strength:
This plan will result in significant gains in your strength, as measured by “big 5” of weightlifting: the back squat, bench press, overhead press, barbell row and deadlift.
- This is a three day a week program that runs for four weeks.
- There are two workouts that repeat over this period.
- Please, no cardio during this period. Rest as needed.
- Equipment needed: barbell, plates, and resistance bands
About Krissy Cagney:
Krissy got her start in the fitness industry with a focus on bodybuilding, then transitioned to powerlifting after being offered a job at Rise Above Fitness. In 2013 Krissy became a Westside Barbell coach and Registered Dietician. Upon becoming physically strong, Krissy also became mentally strong and won her battle against addiction in May of 2013; her biggest accomplishment yet. Krissy now owns Doughnuts & Deadlifts (a lifestyle brand) and a Black Iron Gym in NYC.
