Intense interval training workouts don’t always have to be complicated and confusing! This simple running workout requires you to run around the perimeter of a field, and combines intervals & strength exercises to help you get fit.
If you’re new to running intervals, don’t want to bother timing your intervals, or have trouble staying accountable (slowing down & wimping out halfway through an interval), then this simple-but-intense interval training workout is for you.
Cody’s Intense Interval Training Workout:
Do the following circuit until you fall over in a heap of muscular Jell-O.
- Pick a field, any field.
- Sprint the longer sides of the field. These are your work sets.
- Jog the shorter sides of the field. These are your rest sets.
- At each corner, do 15 reps of the designated exercise.
- Aim to do 3-4 laps of the field to start, and work upwards from there.
