This pretty much goes without saying, but yoga is a great way to soothe those frazzled nerves at the end of a trying day. Force your mind to take a break from stressing out, and concentrate on these new yoga poses instead. This yoga routine to soothe nerves will distract your busy brain from the minor (or major) annoyances of everyday life, and leave you feeling calm, centered, and soothed.
Yoga Poses to Soothe Nerves:
Begin in a wide legged forward bend, with your palms on the ground in front of you. Shift some of your weight onto your hands as you let your feet slide outwards to the sides, and deepen the hip stretch. Work your way downwards until you can comfortably rest your forearms, shoulders, or cheek against the ground.
Sit in lotus position and breathe deeply. Clear your mind and meditate for a few minutes. When you feel ready, walk your arms out in front of you and bend your torso forward, with the goal of resting your forehead on the ground.
From a sitting position, roll your spine backwards and down to the floor, and bring your knees into your chest. Place your hands on your lower back for support as you extend your legs upward. Finally, lay your arms on the floor when you are stable.
From candle pose, lower your legs down towards your face, aiming to touch your toes to the floor above your head.
